I have a little Wahoo! center console myself, has a 2009 70hp Yamaha outboard that replaced the original Mercury 95hp when that shit the bed. It's been in storage for like 2 years now but I wanna bring it out again soon.

Used to race J24s and J80s (and the odd J110) but no more.

I would if I had a boat, I get out as often as I can on my parents boat, but they’re a nice 16 hour drive a way and we didn’t have good weather last time we were there.
I almost bought a boat when I bought the Montego, wife figured I’d get more usage out of a classic car vs a boat because in Michigan you can at least use the classic in the spring/fall.

My favorite kind of boats are the ones that belong to my friends. So no, not personally, but I’m out on the water whenever I get the chance.

I used to. 20' Ranger Comanche with a 150 HP Yamaha. This vehicle taught me that boats are indeed holes in the water that you throw money into.
Also, contrary to the rule on cars, the rule for these kinds of boats is this: BUY NEW. If you don’t, you very well might be purchasing someone else’s problems.

Tiny sailboat + canoe. Back when I was a kid we took on a project fiberglass trihull with Ford 351W power, but it got sold before it ever made it back to the water.

This has always has been a little trouble, but nothing ever more than an afternoon of tinkering and some re-upholstery.

Not me or mine, just same sails but over a baby blue hull and tramp.
It’s in MI, I am in NJ, so do I, when I can. I am trying to justify buying one for NJ, but my current commute would leave me with weekends and 2 months of weeknights per year to use it. With the kiddles, it’s too hard to give up my weekends like that and I’m not sure they would have interest in joining in.

Uh huh.
*Googles the boat, searches boattrader.com, sees one for sale in CT*
It better not be this one listed for sale in CT.

Not gonna buy it, but it's fun to shop. And I want a cabin cruiser.

Except for not having the rear deck on it, it was almost exactly like this. Open bow, 18ft or something like, inboard-outboard. I was really sad to see it go because it would have ruled ass.

I’m more of a center console/outboard motor guy myself.

Mine’s a 16 foot center console. Great little bit for the bay down in MD where it is, but I want something I can take out on the ocean up here in NJ.

1988 31' Chris Craft Stinger
Twin 250 Evinrude E-Tec outboards (which replaced the original 225s that were on it when I purchased it)
Tops out around 57 knots
And has a badass sound system, that only plays 80s music.
And I bought it for less than a 5 year old Toyota Corolla, because the previous owner had fucking clue in the world about what he had (he cited “engine problems”, which were solved by 15 minutes with a timing light 2 days after I bought it. Got 8 more years out of those engines)

Grew up boating on an 80s 18 foot Boston Whaler with a 175 Johnson on the back. It was great.
